How we work with a hotel

Nikton Hospitality is a hotel marketing agency based in Zagreb. We work remotely with independent 4- and 5-star hotels, including hotels in Austria and Germany.

Onboarding means access to Google Ads, Meta, GA4 and the booking engine, an agreed goal, a monthly report and one monthly conversation.

For hotels in Austria and Germany, reports, emails and documents are in German. Calls and meetings are in English.

We work with the booking engine the hotel already uses. Before we start, we check how the engine sends data to GA4 and what needs to be fixed.

A visit to the hotel in Austria or Germany is possible by agreement.

Monthly management from €1,200 + VAT. The starting scope covers one hotel and one agreed advertising channel - Google Ads or Meta Ads. It includes campaign optimisation, performance monitoring through the existing measurement system, a monthly report and one monthly conversation.

Why align your hotel's Google and Tripadvisor profiles?

A consistent name, location, contact details, photographs and link to the official website help guests recognise the hotel and check its offer. Profile optimisation includes checking public information and the options permitted by the platform, with access from an authorised hotel representative.

The scope and fee for this service are agreed separately based on your hotel's goals, the current system and the access required.

Guests often see a Google profile, map or Tripadvisor before opening the hotel's official website

A guest's first digital interaction with a hotel may begin outside its homepage. They may find the hotel through Google search, Google Maps, Tripadvisor, an OTA, a restaurant or spa profile, social media or a navigation app. There, they check the location, appearance, facilities, reviews, telephone number and booking link. Inconsistent information gives guests different versions of the same hotel.

Examples of problems include:

  • -different hotel names on the website and profiles
  • -an outdated address, telephone number or opening hours
  • -incorrect categories or an incomplete list of facilities
  • -outdated photos or a booking link that leads to an inappropriate page
  • -links that cannot be tracked, or duplicate profiles
  • -different descriptions on the platforms and unrelated profiles of hotels, restaurants and spas

The problem is not only aesthetic. Inconsistency makes it difficult to find, reduces confidence and interrupts the way to the direct channel.

Why mismatched profiles affect trust and bookings

The guest expects the key information to be the same in each location. When the name, address, telephone, opening hours or hotel facilities differ between profiles, the guest must assess for himself which information is correct. This can have several business consequences:

  • -guest calls the wrong number or comes to the wrong entrance
  • -cannot find the restaurant or spa and assumes the hotel lacks facilities it actually offers
  • -goes to an OTA because they do not recognise the official booking link
  • -loses confidence because of outdated photographs or descriptions
  • -clicks to the official website cannot be measured correctly
  • -local search does not show the hotel in the most relevant context
  • -duplicate profiles split reviews and user signals
  • -management does not have a clear view of what users are doing after viewing the profile

Profile optimisation cannot guarantee a better ranking or more bookings. It can ensure that the hotel provides accurate, consistent and measurable information where guests most often discover it.

Which profiles should your hotel cover?

Not every profile is equally important for every hotel. Priority depends on location, markets, amenities and the way guests search for a hotel.

Google Business Profile and Google Maps

  • name, categories, address, telephone, website and booking link
  • opening hours, amenities, photographs, and questions and answers
  • duplicate profiles and separate profiles for the restaurant, spa or other locations

Tripadvisor

  • name, category, description, contact and web links
  • facilities, amenities, photographs and consistency with the website
  • guidance for responding to reviews, without guaranteeing a ranking on the platform

Apple Maps, Bing Places and other maps

  • whether there is a correct profile and whether the location and contacts are correct
  • whether the link leads to the official website
  • whether there are duplicate or obsolete entries

OTA profiles

  • reviewing the quality of descriptions, categories, photographs and location information
  • consistency with the hotel's positioning
  • without managing prices, availability, inventory or distribution

Profiles of restaurants, spa and other facilities

  • a separate profile if the facility has its own opening hours, entrance or booking process
  • assessing whether a separate profile is needed or the facility belongs within the main hotel profile

Social media and business directories

  • consistent names, descriptions, contacts and website links

How we work together

Step 1

Profile inventory and audit

We identify relevant public profiles, ownership, data accuracy, links, content, photos and possible duplicates.

Step 2

Standardization and recommendations

We define official information, categories, amenities, descriptions, booking links and priorities for photos.

Step 3

Implementation and tracking

According to the agreed scope, we make changes or coordinate the hotel team and partners and set measurable links when the platform supports them.

Step 4

Final review and maintenance plan

We check published changes, document remaining restrictions and define who and how often to update individual profiles.

The initial optimization is the project phase. Periodic maintenance can be included in the wider scope of work.

Connection with direct bookings and SEO

A digital profile is often a stepping stone between search and the official website. Incorrect information, weak imagery or a link to the wrong page can interrupt the journey before the guest even reaches the hotel website.

A typical guest journey may include:

  • -searching for the hotel or destination name
  • -opening a Google profile or map
  • -viewing photographs, reviews and hotel facilities
  • -click on the official website and enter the booking engine
  • -completing the booking

Consistent profiles support:

  • -brand and local organic visibility
  • -trust before visiting the website
  • -clearer view of restaurants, spa and other facilities
  • -more measurable traffic to the official website and direct booking journey

Profiles connect with SEO, the hotel website, GA4 tracking, Google Ads campaigns and digital strategy. Profile optimisation supports the website and booking engine by ensuring the first contact with the hotel does not disrupt the journey towards them.

  • -revenue management and daily update of Booking.com or Expedia
  • -responding to every review each day

  • -buying or encouraging fake reviews
  • -guarantee of a certain rating, position or number of reviews
  • -administration of all profiles without a defined scope
  • -technical booking engine development and Google Hotel Ads campaigns within this service

Frequently asked questions

Do you manage Booking.com and Expedia profiles?

We can review the quality of descriptions, photos, content and consistency of information on OTA profiles. We do not manage prices, availability, inventory, restrictions or daily channel management through this service. The necessary content changes can be prepared and coordinated with the hotel team or OTA partner.

What is the difference between this service and SEO for hotels?

SEO and hotel content focuses on the official hotel website, its structure, organic demand, landing pages and indexation. Digital profile optimization focuses on public profiles outside the website, such as Google Business Profile, maps, Tripadvisor, and other platforms. The services are complementary because the profiles affect local visibility and send users towards the official web.

Do you make changes directly to your profiles?

Yes, when the hotel provides the appropriate access and when it is part of the agreed scope. In other cases, we prepare precise recommendations and a list of changes for the hotel team or partner. Some changes the platform may additionally check, change or refuse.

Who posts photos and updates profiles?

That depends on the agreed working model. Nikton Hospitality can define the selection, structure and priority of photographs and make agreed updates according to the access available. Producing new photographs is not included. For long-term maintenance, we recommend clearly assigning an internal person or partner responsibility for updates.

Do you respond to reviews instead of the hotel?

Daily response to all reviews is not a standard part of the service. We can prepare guidelines, templates and rules for different types of reviews and help with sensitive or reputationally important situations according to a special arrangement.

Is the service one-time or continuous?

The initial audit and optimisation are usually a one-off project. Periodic reviews can form part of a wider ongoing engagement to check information changes, new duplicates and whether links, photographs and content are current.

Should a restaurant and spa have separate Google profiles?

Not always. A separate profile may make sense if a restaurant or spa has its own opening hours, entrance, contact details, audience or booking process. If it does not meet the actual requirements for a separate location, an additional profile may create duplicates and confuse users. We make a recommendation after reviewing the specific hotel.

Can you remove a duplicate or incorrect Google profile?

We can identify the problem, prepare supporting evidence and submit or coordinate a request to remove, merge or correct a profile. Google makes the final decision, so we cannot guarantee the outcome or timeline.

How do you measure the result of profile optimization?

We look at the combination of accuracy and consistency of data, clicks to the website and booking journey, profile interactions, calls, content quality, web behavior and bookings that can be authentically linked to a profile link. We clearly distinguish platform interactions from results measured on the website and in the booking engine.

Can you guarantee a better position, rating or more reviews?

No. Position and rating depend on platform, location, competition, guest experience and other factors that cannot be controlled. We can provide more accurate information, clearer links, better profile content and a structured maintenance process.
