One monthly report instead of five unrelated tables

A monthly report that links investment, campaigns, and confirmed bookings into clear decisions about budget, markets, and priorities for the next month.

Ongoing monthly management

How we work with a hotel

Nikton Hospitality is a hotel marketing agency based in Zagreb. We work remotely with independent 4- and 5-star hotels, including hotels in Austria and Germany.

Onboarding means access to Google Ads, Meta, GA4 and the booking engine, an agreed goal, a monthly report and one monthly conversation.

For hotels in Austria and Germany, reports, emails and documents are in German. Calls and meetings are in English.

We work with the booking engine the hotel already uses. Before we start, we check how the engine sends data to GA4 and what needs to be fixed.

A visit to the hotel in Austria or Germany is possible by agreement.

Monthly management from €1,200 + VAT. The starting scope covers one hotel and one agreed advertising channel - Google Ads or Meta Ads. It includes campaign optimisation, performance monitoring through the existing measurement system, a monthly report and one monthly conversation.

What should a hotel marketing report contain?

The report should connect investment, booking volume and value, acquisition cost and next decisions. Nikton Hospitality interprets results alongside the season, markets and data limitations so management knows what to maintain, change or investigate further.

The scope and fee for this service are agreed separately based on your hotel's goals, the current system and the access required.

Data exists, but management still doesn't have a single reliable answer

The hotel can receive every month Google Ads report, Meta Ads report, GA4 screenshot, booking engine data, booking review, web agency report and internal sales information. The problem is not the lack of data. The problem is that these data often use different attribution models, KPIs, time periods, and conversion definitions. Google Ads can display revenue that the booking engine allocates differently. Meta can report an attribution booking that GA4 does not display in the same way. Booking engine confirms that the booking was made, but often does not explain which channel brought it.

Management then gets more numbers, but there is no clear answer:

  • -How much have we invested in total?
  • -How many confirmed direct bookings have been made?
  • -How much revenue was recorded?
  • -How much does a booking cost us?
  • -Which markets and campaigns are producing results?
  • -Where are results being lost?
  • -What needs to change next month?

Why more reports do not necessarily mean better decisions

Platforms explain their own performance. A hotel needs to understand its entire digital system. Google Ads aims to show the contribution of Google campaigns. Meta uses its own attribution model. GA4 attempts to connect user journeys across channels. The booking engine confirms bookings and revenue but often lacks full marketing context. Copying these sources into one presentation leaves the hotel with a collection of tables, rather than a management report.

  • -the same revenue is attributed to multiple channels
  • -brand campaigns create an impression of greater incremental results
  • -budget decisions are made using ROAS without context
  • -markets are estimated by clicks instead of booking values
  • -booking funnel problems remain hidden
  • -the report explains last month, but does not define the next move
  • -management spends time on harmonizing different versions of the results

The goal of reporting is not to produce more data. The goal is to enable a better decision.

What management receives each month

Management report should answer specific business questions.

Ulaganje

  • How much is invested in Google, Meta and other digital channels?
  • How is the budget allocated across markets, campaigns and hotel facilities?
  • Was investment aligned with priority dates and occupancy?

Bookings and revenue

  • How many confirmed direct bookings are recorded?
  • What is the direct booking revenue?
  • What is the average booking value?
  • How does the result compare to the previous month and the comparable period of the previous year?

Acquisition cost

  • What is the total cost per booking?
  • What is the cost per channel and market?
  • Do bookings that cost more to acquire also have greater value?
  • How does the cost of direct acquisition relate to the business value of the booking?

Channels and markets

  • Which markets bring bookings, and which predominantly traffic?
  • Which channels bring users who are completing the booking process?
  • How much of the result comes from existing brand demand?
  • What non-brand activities bring new potential guests?
  • Where does a paid channel contribute directly, and where does it assist?

Booking funnel

  • How many users click Book Now?
  • How many of them see the available rooms?
  • Where does the greatest abandonment occur?
  • Is there a difference between mobile and desktop processes?
  • Is the problem in traffic quality, availability, offer or booking process?

Next steps

  • Which campaigns should be scaled, reduced or stopped?
  • Which markets are given higher priority?
  • Which dates need additional support?
  • Should the offer, landing page or booking UX be adjusted?
  • Which technical or analytical problem should be solved first?

The report does not end with a description of what happened. It ends with priorities for the next period.

What the report connects

The management view combines several data sources according to the hotel's digital system: investment → traffic → hotel website → booking engine → booking → revenue. Common sources include:

  • -Google Ads and Meta Ads
  • -Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager
  • -booking engine and confirmed bookings
  • -revenue and data by market
  • -brand and non-brand campaigns
  • -booking funnel events
  • -seasonality and priority dates
  • -other digital activities relevant to the hotel

We do not assume that all systems display the same truth. We compare, validate and label data according to the level of reliability.

Management report · March 2026

Monthly summary

March recorded 31 direct bookings with total revenue of €49,500. Growth was supported by stronger brand traffic and remarketing, while non-brand activity in Germany lagged because of weaker mobile checkout performance. For April, we propose a landing page test and a review of the booking steps before increasing the budget.

Management conclusions

What happened: Non-brand campaigns in Germany generated more traffic, but fewer bookings.

Why it probably happened: The German landing page did not match the offer for the selected dates.

Proposed decision or test: Test a landing page with a clearer package offer and availability for the target date.

What happened: Remarketing generated more checkouts, without a proportional increase in bookings.

Why it probably happened: The drop-off occurred after prices were displayed on mobile.

Proposed decision or test: Prioritise checking mobile checkout and how cancellation terms are displayed.

What happened: Brand campaigns had a lower cost per booking than non-brand activities.

Why it probably happened: Most of the demand came from guests who already knew the hotel.

Proposed decision or test: Maintain brand protection, but do not reduce non-brand activity without analysing new markets.

Priorities for the following month

  1. 1.Improve the mobile booking journey for the German market.
  2. 2.Increase the remarketing budget while checking the checkout steps.
  3. 3.Prepare a seasonal offer for quieter dates with a clear landing page priority.

From data to decisions for the following month

The report does not end with an overview of campaigns and traffic. Every month, the hotel receives a summary of the results, an explanation of the changes and clearly defined priorities for the next period.

KPIs we track

We use ROAS as one of the indicators, but not as the only proof of success. The parts of the results can be directly measured, attributed to the platform model or evaluated as an assisted contribution the report does not show them as equally reliable categories.

How we work together

Step 1

Defining KPIs

We agree which questions management wants to monitor and which metrics and sources can provide a credible answer.

Step 2

Setting up the report structure

We link data sources in one consistent monthly format.

Step 3

Monthly validation and analysis

We collect data, check deviations, interpret the result and prepare management conclusions.

Step 4

Presentation and planning

We review results, make decisions and define priorities, responsibilities and next actions.

Connection with direct bookings and occupancy

Reporting in itself does not create bookings. Its value is that it allows better decisions about where the hotel invests money and what needs to be changed.

For example, a fall in bookings can mean:

  • -lower demand in a particular market
  • -lower room availability or higher price
  • -an offer that does not match demand or a decline in brand searches
  • -irrelevant traffic or a landing page problem
  • -abandonment within the booking engine
  • -technical error in tracking

A quality management report helps to decide:

  • -whether to increase or reduce the budget
  • -which market receives priority
  • -which dates need additional digital support
  • -whether to change the campaign or offer
  • -whether the website or booking engine needs attention
  • -whether the result is weak due to the channel or wider business context
  • -which move has the most expected effect

The goal is not to find one metric that explains everything. The goal is to connect the available data into a decision that supports direct bookings, revenue and better occupancy.

What is not included

  • -daily operational reception reporting
  • -financial accounting and revenue management
  • -setting daily accommodation prices
  • -channel management and OTA inventory management
  • -PMS implementation and development of financial forecasts of the entire hotel
  • -guarantee of full attribution of all bookings
  • -development of integrations that existing systems do not support
  • -unlimited number of custom reports and meetings
  • -initial tracking setup or repairs without a separate project

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a management report and a Google Ads report?

The Google Ads report explains the result of Google campaigns according to Google's attribution model. Management report connects Google Ads with other channels, GA4 data, booking engine, confirmed bookings, revenue, markets, booking funnel and hotel business priorities. The goal is not just to evaluate the platform, but to understand the entire digital result.

Is ROAS enough to evaluate success?

No. High ROAS may reflect strong brand demand from users who already intended to book the hotel. At the same time, a non-brand campaign with lower ROAS can play an important role in attracting new guests or supporting quieter dates. ROAS should be interpreted alongside booking volume, revenue, cost per booking, average booking value, market, the brand/non-brand balance, the booking funnel and the campaign's business priority.

Why are numbers different between Google Ads, GA4 and booking engine?

The systems use different attribution models, conversion windows, time zones, data-processing rules, consent signals and methods of connecting users across devices. The booking engine usually provides the strongest confirmation that a booking occurred, but may not know which channel contributed most to the decision. We therefore compare sources instead of automatically treating one as the sole truth.

What if we don't have all the information we need right now?

Reporting can begin with the available data, but we clearly mark the limits. First, we determine what can be measured directly, what platforms are attributing, what is missing, where there are technical errors and what should be prioritized or repaired. We do not fill in the blanks with unsubstantiated estimates.

How long does the initial reporting setup take?

It depends on the campaigns, GA4, the booking engine and existing reports. If the data is well configured, the structure can be defined relatively quickly. If cross-domain tracking, conversions, booking values or attribution need repair, the initial phase takes longer and may require a separate setup project.

Who prepares the data and the report?

Nikton Hospitality collects and connects available digital sources, validates data, prepares interpretations and defines recommendations. The hotel and its partners should provide access to relevant accounts and, if necessary, provide business data not available in marketing systems.

Do we need to change the existing website or performance agency?

No. We can work with an existing internal team, web agency, performance partner, booking engine provider and revenue manager. In this case, management reporting can serve as a common framework that connects the results and responsibilities of different partners.

How many meetings are included?

Ongoing monthly management includes one structured management meeting per month. Additional meetings, workshops, detailed analyses or reports for specific projects are agreed according to scope.

Can you guarantee that reporting will increase bookings?

No. Reporting does not create demand per se. It enables better decisions on budget, markets, campaigns, offer, web and booking process. We can guarantee a structured process, more transparent data, clearer conclusions and concrete priorities.
